I have many long time clients including:
Rupp Production Lighting
I own and operate a Lighting Services and Rental Company. I design and implement the lighting for a variety of projects including Feature Films, Commercials, TV, Media, Live-Broadcast, and Live Events.
High Impact Pictures
I am a freelance Gaffer for Director of Photography Rich Schaefer. With him, I have worked on thousands of jobs including commercials, feature films, music videos, and live events. I determine equipment needs and electrical distribution for each job. I schedule and direct lighting crews to achieve the best look for each scenario. Much of my work is with celebrities who need to look great for commercials - which will be seen thousands of times over. I have travelled many times where I was required to direct a variety of local crews. I am used to extreme circumstances from the hottest deserts to the coldest winters, drowning rains, and unknown scenarios. I work with big multi-camera setups or with a single hand-held light. I have experienced many different and difficult situations and adapt to get the job done.

Evolution Media
I am the Lighting Director/Gaffer for the beauty shots and show opening for The Real Housewives of Orange County & Beverly Hills on Bravo Networks. I have implemented and tuned the lighting for the OC & LA Housewives for over 10 years. I work with their hair, makeup, and wardrobe team to make each of the housewives look fabulous for their glamour motion-imagery used for the show openings and network promos.
The Walt Disney Company
I’m on my 20th year and still currently employed as a Part-Time/Casual employee at Disneyland. I design, schedule, and operate broadcast lighting for media, commercials, and live events at The Disneyland Resort. I communicate with leadership and related departments to ensure a successful event. I direct lighting crews during complex events while considering quality, aesthetic, guest-impact, operational impact, crew skillsets, time-clocks, and a multitude of personalities.
The Jim Henson Company
I was the Lighting Director for Duff's Happy Fun Bake Time - A Multi-Camera show produced by the Jim Henson Company for Food Network to Launch Discovery Channel's Streaming Service. In addition to designing the lighting, I directed the lighting and grip crew while managing equipment orders and electrical distribution. I had to work with leadership and other departments through the review and approval stages for the show. I worked with the Jim Henson Creature shop to develop lighting fixtures built into the puppet characters. Challenges involved implementing complex lighting cues throughout the show.
I was also the Gaffer for Field Segments with “Traveling Matt” for Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock on Apple TV+.
Pre-Sliced
I was the Lighting Designer, Lighting Director, and Gaffer for Guy Fieri’s show Guy’s Ranch Kitchen on Food Network. Ranch Kitchen is a Live-to-Tape Multi-Camera Show. I designed the lighting for an 1800 square foot outdoor kitchen where I needed to make all the food and celebrity chefs look great. The kitchen is on Guy Fieri’s Ranch in a remote location. I had to determine crew, equipment and electrical needs - where we would not have any additional resources available.
Citizen Pictures
“Guy’s Big Game” was a Live-to-Air 1 hour Cooking Competition show with Guy Fieri - coinciding with Super Bowl LIV. I designed and implemented the Lighting for a Live Indoor/Outdoor Multi-Camera shoot during sunset where we transitioned from daytime into nighttime during the course of the program. I helped transform a rented mansion on the Miami Coast into a production facility. I designed the lighting for the entirety of the inside and outside of the mansion, in addition to the 6 outdoor cooking stations with celebrity chefs, and guests - while accommodating power for Broadcast and Transmission trucks.
